Description

We’re seeking a talented SEO manager, who's passionate about all things search. You'll be joining our team of digital professionals, where you'll lead our SEO strategy and help us reach new heights. Your expertise in SEO will be crucial in improving our website's online visibility and overall performance.

You will work within our media team in Swindon and report to the Head of Media. You will also collaborate closely with all other areas of the business including content, PR, eCommerce, design, product, and retail.

This is a hybrid role with 2 days in our Swindon head office (Tuesday and Thursday) and 3 days working from home.

Key Responsibilities

  • Defining and implementing the SEO strategy that supports the overall business objectives, category growth opportunities and drives increased revenue through natural search.
  • Conduct regular audits across technical, link and on-site content to identify performance issues and optimisation opportunities.
  • Work closely with in-house developers and business stakeholders to implement SEO strategies.
  • Performing topic research to highlight areas of opportunity and inform onsite content, working closely with the content team to ensure all new site content is fully optimised.
  • Work closely with content, social and PR team to identify opportunities to build external links.
  • Implementation of on-page optimisation opportunities such as page titles, headers, alt tags, meta descriptions
  • Create the internal linking strategy.
  • Build the profile and importance of SEO within the business, championing its benefit and regularly reporting back on performance and progress against the SEO strategy.
  • Develop forecasts and projections for SEO performance based on data analysis, industry trends, and business goals, and make recommendations for adjustments to the SEO strategy as needed.
  • Day to day management of GMB, ensuring showroom listings are kept up to date and looking for areas of opportunity to improve local results.
  • Managing 1 direct report (SEO Executive) 

Experience

  • Proven SEO experience ideally within an agency or in-house with experience working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Track record of delivering an SEO strategy and delivering results
  • Solid understanding of all aspects of SEO; content creation, technical, on-page and outreach
  • Understanding of search engine-friendly website design and ability to make critical design and technical recommendations to developers.
  • Excellent data interpreting, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to impact and influence to enable delivery of optimisation opportunities.
  • Previous people management experience preferred
  • In-depth experience with key tools - Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, SEMRush (or similar) and GA360/GA4. As well as experience in HTML/CSS, JavaScript and WordPress
