We have an opportunity to join our growing Finance team as an Accounts Assistant in our head office in Swindon. The Accounts Assistant will contribute to the effective delivery of a high-quality service in Accounts Payable. You will ensure the smooth operation of the Accounts Payable function by ensuring the accurate processing of invoices to meet payment terms.
The post holder will need to prioritise on a day-to-day basis, reporting potential issues to the Manager. All activities need to be performed in accordance with defined processes, timetables and agreed service levels.
We can offer hybrid working, with 3 days in the office and 2 days from home.
Key Responsibilities:
- Processing and verification of AP Invoices for GBP suppliers and overseas USD stock suppliers. 50% of your time
- Reconcile supplier statements and investigate and resolve discrepancies on supplier account.
- Deal with telephone and email enquiries from suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Take ownership of query resolution providing support and appropriate escalation processes where necessary.
Skills/experience:
- Numeracy and analytical skills with the ability to work with financial information.
- Experience in a similar role within finance or general administration.
- Methodical with attention to detail and able to prioritise.
- Computer literate including MS Excel.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Strong customer and delivery focus.
- Able to communicate effectively
- Ideally experience in high volume environment operating to defined service levels and targets
- Sage 100, Concur Invoice knowledge would be desirable
